Due to dry climate of Iran, water is major challenge especially in central parts of Iran. Statistics show that in 2022 the total amount of sustainable water per capita is Iran is 850 m3 per annum, which is significantly lower than the global 1000 m3 per annum. Therefore, providing clean water from
wastewater and sea-water is a sustainable solution to this problem. Therefore, desalination plants based on reverse osmosis is a technology that is expected to play a major role in this problem.
CPG-Pars is planning to establish a production line for desalination membranes with annual capacity of 50000 units. This capacity is sufficient for domestic consumption of desalination plants and it provides opportunities for export in middle-east.
